If a promo page won't state the wagering multiplier, the game weightings and the max bet while clearing, my spreadsheet stays closed. Those three numbers are the whole EV calculation, everything else on the page is copywriting. A welcome offer cleared at 40x on pokies counting 100% is a completely different beast from one where only certain games contribute at a reduced rate, and vague wording usually means the operator wants you assuming the friendly version. Before anyone here deposits a single A$, get the full T&Cs in writing: does the wagering apply to the bonus alone or deposit plus bonus? That single clause can double your effective turnover. Then ask support which titles count toward it and keep the screenshot. On a small spin sample variance will happily disguise the true cost either way, so price it at the worst-case weighting and if it still looks viable, have a slap. Has anyone actually saved the T&C text from signup, or does the site only show it after you've committed?

Freo Dad's spreadsheet line is spot on, no published wagering multiplier or max bet means no offer, just marketing. I'd want cashout screenshots from anyone claiming they cleared it too.
RTP doesn't lie, win screenshots do.

Vague terms plus no screenshots? Seen that flick before, mate. Turned a tidy bonus into nothing once because the max bet clause did me. Ask for proof first 😉

Had the max bet clause kill a clearance once myself, so Maccas' story rings true. Worth a slap only if they publish the multiplier and game weightings upfront. Freo Dad's right, without those numbers on the promo page there's no EV to run. Anyone here got a cleared Golden Empire wagering screenshot with the bet size visible? 🎰

The game weightings angle is what worries me more than the multiplier itself, honestly. A punter can survive a brutal playthrough if pokies count at 100%, but the moment table games and certain providers get excluded or weighted down, your effective turnover balloons and the hit rate you need to keep your head above water changes completely. Golden Empire leaving that bit out of the promo page means nobody here can even sketch a rough variance profile for clearing it. You'd be flying blind on whether your bankroll can absorb the downswings mid-wagering. Maccas' max bet story is the classic trap too, and there's a second layer people miss: bonus funds sitting in a separate wallet, so a chunk of every spin comes off the real balance first and the clearance drags. On a small spin sample any of this looks fine; over a full playthrough the structural terms decide the outcome long before luck does.
RTP is a long-run number.

ah well, this takes me back - turned 50 into 5k once on a welcome bonus back when the old slots hit different and the terms fit on one page. everyone in here is doing spreadheets and EV runs, and i'll be honest, half the fun died when the punting turned into arithmetic 😄 still, i'll give you all this much: a promo page that hides the multiplier AND the max bet clause from aussies while happily taking our signups is telling you something before you put a dollar in. ask yourself why they'll write three paragraphs about free games and a single sentence about turnover. if they publish the numbers later, fine. if not, i'd rather give my A$ a slap at the local club where the machine at least shows its paytable on the glass. anyway mate, if anyone here actually clears the Golden Empire wagering, post the proof, screenshots or it didn't happen. ah well, we grind on.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.

Freo Dad's spreadsheet stays shut and mine does too, but there's a fourth number nobody's named yet: whether the welcome bonus is sticky or cashable. A vague promo page hiding the multiplier is one thing; hiding whether the bonus itself comes off before you can withdraw is where clearances quietly die. BookVegas, I get the nostalgia, but arithmetic is the only thing standing between a punter and a max bet clause doing them dirty again. 📊

GeelongDave777 [#6]: You blokes reckon you need a spreadsheet for everything 😄 I just gave the Golden Empire welcome bonus a slap blind last month and actually got through the wagering playing my usual pokies, no drama. Maybe do what I did and test it with a small deposit first instead of doing maths homework 🤑🔥
Backing my slot to the last spin.

Dave777, colour me curious. Did you clock the actual wagering multiplier and whether the bonus was sticky before you cleared it, or did you just grind through blind? On a small spin sample one clearance proves nothing about the EV, but if pokies counted at 100% and the max bet cap was liveable, that's at least two of Freo Dad's three numbers settled. Chop us in with the details if you can remember them.
