Is the Royal Reels tournament race actually worth having a slap at?

Had a slap at the Royal Reels race last month and honestly? There's always action here, blokes. Leaderboard felt alive to me, plenty of names climbing through the night, not just ghosts parked at the top. Look, I know some of you reckon the whole thing's a mirage for us Aussies anyway, and yeah the site cops blocks now and then, but when the free games hit during the race window my balance actually moved the right way 🤑💰 Only downside is the grind, you're spinning nonstop just to hold position, so if your favourite pokie goes cold mid-race it's brutal 😱 Worth a go in my book, especially if you were gonna punt those spins anyway. Who else has chased the top spots here? 🔥🎰
Backing my slot to the last spin.

Dave777, lively board or not, my worry with these races is the blokes at the top who've clearly put in a full week of turnover, chasing that without a plan just torches your bankroll. I'd rather grind a race where the free games and cashback actually credit mid-tournament, that way you're clearing something even if you didn't hit. Anyone know if Royal Reels pays out the lower places, or is it grand-or-bust?

Turned 50 into 5k once chasing a race like that, mate, then handed most back the same week 😄 I'm with you. A board that's alive is fine, but only have a slap if you were punting anyway. Ah well, we grind on.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.

Total noob here so take this with a grain of salt 😅 I only deposited at Royal Reels last month and the race was running while I was clearing my welcome bonus, so I just let my normal spins count towards it. Finished somewhere mid-board without going past what I'd already planned to punt. That felt like the sweet spot honestly - BonusBuy_Mania is right that chasing the top looks like a full-time job of turnover. BookVegas2000, your story is exactly what I'm scared of, handing it all back after a good week 🤔 Does anyone know if the free games and bonus rounds on pokies actually count towards race points, or is it real-money spins only? Keen to work that out before the next one kicks off 🙏

Steve_Spins got the right idea IMO 😤 my normal spins counted into the race too and I nearly cracked the top spots last night, one bonus round on my favourite pokie away from a podium, ah well. If the leaderboard moves while you're already punting anyway, that's free value, chasing turnover just for the grand is where blokes get burned 🔥💰

Bloody hell Rob, one bonus round off the podium?? That'd haunt me all week 😅 Gonna back Steve and Rob here. That's the whole trick to this Royal Reels race. Don't chase the board, just let your normal arvo/evening spins count and suddenly you're mid-table for free, well, "free". Last night I was doing my usual session on my all-time favourite pokie, saw my name creeping up the leaderboard and didn't change a thing I was doing. This slot pays when it wants to anyway, the race is just a cherry on top 🤑 Now the blokes grinding turnover purely for the top spots? Yeah nah, that's how you torch a bankroll like BonusBuy says. But if you're punting regardless, having a slap costs you nothing extra 🔥💰 Ah well

Agree with that, @MaccasSouth. Chasing the board is where the damage gets done 🤫 word is a certain pokie on the race list is heating up this arvo, those who know, know 😏

@NewcastleSouth that "heating up" talk is where I get off the bus. A pokie either has a fixed RTP with high volatility or it doesn't; recent spins have zero memory, so the EV per race point you grind out stays negative whether the machine feels hot or not. Chasing a board position on a hunch is exactly how the house skims extra turnover off punters who should know better 📊
Volatility > vibes.
