Ripper Casino wagering maths
Happy to see someone actually running the turnover before depositing, because most punters eyeball the promo banner and call it a day. The formula is simple enough: bonus plus deposit times the wagering multiple gives you the raw figure, but the raw figure is meaningless until you know what counts. Pokies at 100% contribution versus table games dragging in at a fraction changes the real required spin volume massively.
The other thing I'd add from my own sheet-keeping: RTP is long-run, not one session, so on a small spin sample the wagering can feel fine while the variance quietly eats your deposit depending on the volatility of the game you picked. High-vol pokies can clear the multiple on paper but leave you with nothing mid-rollover. Have you checked whether Ripper's fine print caps bets per spin during wagering? That one catches people out more than the contribution table does. 📊
Volatility > vibes.
Freo_Dad's hit the nail on the head. The raw figure's useless without knowing what actually counts. I learned that lesson the hard way years back, ran a deposit bonus through on the tables thinking I was flying, only to find they counted for a fraction and I'd barely touched the turnover. These days I read the fine print before the banner, reckon that's saved me more than any win ever did. The young blokes who skip that step are the ones crying about dead cashouts later 😄
Busted more than you've deposited 😉
This is why I bet a flat amount per spin on the pokies when clearing - at least the turnover moves at 100%. Tables chewed my bonus once and I barely made a dent. 😭
Bankroll discipline wins 💸
Okay dumb question 😅 when yous say the wagering multiple, is that counted on the bonus alone or bonus plus deposit together? That bit keeps confusing me. 🙏
New here, soaking it up.
TiltKing777, no dumb question at all mate, everyone's been burned by that one. It can be either, the terms usually say "bonus and deposit" or just "bonus", and the difference is huge. Example: A$100 deposit with a A$100 bonus at 30x on both means (100+100) x 30 = A$6,000 turnover. If it's bonus only, it's A$3,000. Big gap before you even look at game contributions.
And like Maccas said, check which games count 100% before you start. I once ground through a chunk of turnover on the tables back in the day, feeling pretty clever, then read the fine print and realised I'd barely moved the needle. Now I run the numbers on a napkin before having a slap - takes two minutes, saves a week of grinding a dead machine. Ah well, we grind on 😉
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
BookVegas2000 that cleared it up for me cheers 🙏 I only just worked out my first bonus counted pokies at 100% while the tables nearly did nothing, felt like a dead machine til I checked the fine print 😬

That fine print bit never lies when you actually sit down with it 😅 I got stung once when I was whacking max bet per spin clearing a bonus and found out the terms capped the bet size while wagering, every spin over the cap didn't count towards the turnover at all. Nearly had a full session of spins written off, deadset felt like a dead machine at the club 🤦♂️ check the max bet rule before you slap anything on, that one catches heaps of punters 🔥
Backing my slot to the last spin.
Dave777 that max bet trap is a nasty one 😅 I did similar on my first deposit, spinning away like a drongo before realising my spins were counting nothing towards the turnover. Now I read the bonus terms right down to the bottom before touching anything, made a proper little checklist on my phone lol. Does anyone else actually write the numbers out or just wing it? 🤔
@Steve_Spins spinning like a drongo and the counter going nowhere, classic 🤡 even when you clear the turnover the house still collects long-run, so where's the profit? 😏
Show me the withdrawal first 😏
@CronullaDad long-run is the whole game mate, nobody at the club I work at beats the counter on a Tuesday night shift 😏. But between us. Some bonuses are just there to move you through the door, and if you know which pokie's running warm that week, the maths tilts a bit. Word is one of the Ripper promos is still worth a poke around, those who know, know 🤫. The trick is reading the counter before you spin, not after.
Mirror and promo in the DMs.
The max bet cap gets everyone. I add a "bet size while wagering" column to my sheet now. If the maths looks ugly on the banner, skip the bonus, mate.
Volatility > vibes.
Burned by the max bet cap myself, deposited the last of it lol and cleared about 3 spins worth of turnover. Now I read the terms before I even pick a pokie 🤣😂
Came to hit, stayed to tilt 🍿

@LuckyStreak_Addict hahaha 3 spins worth of turnover 😂 happened to me once clearing a bonus on my all-time favourite pokie, spins flying through and the counter going nowhere, ah well. Ripper's terms are actually pretty readable though, no dodgy max bet cap surprises last time I checked 🔥
The hit is close, I can feel it.

@MaccasSouth yeah the counter moving slower than my nan's dial-up is a rite of passage 😂 last bonus I did I reckoned I'd smashed through heaps, checked the bar and donated to the casino again lol. If Ripper's terms are actually readable that's already a miracle, half these places hide the max bet cap like it's a state secret 🤣
Came to hit, stayed to tilt 🍿
@NearMissRefugee got me thinking, because the "warm pokie" theory is exactly the sort of thing I'd want on paper before trusting it. On a small spin sample, a game running hot looks identical to a game with a genuinely better return profile, the variance flattens both into the same streaky story. My rule has always been to check which games contribute 100% toward turnover and which get weighted down before I commit a cent, because a bonus with a hefty wagering multiple on low-contribution pokies is EV dead on arrival no matter how lucky the week feels.
I keep my own sheet of contribution rates and rough hit frequencies per game, and it's saved me from more than one dud offer. CronullaDad's point stands too, EV is still negative after you clear the counter, usually - but a low-multiple bonus on a full-contribution game comes close to break-even territory, and that's the only version worth chasing. Would love to see Ripper's actual weighting table if anyone's screenshotted it lately. 📊
RTP is a long-run number.

@CashOut_Max paper schmaper mate 😂 I hit big last night on my fave pokie during a Ripper bonus run and the bar barely moved, but who cares when the balance went UP. Small sample streaks are real money either way, A$200 cleared off that run and it's in my pocket 🤑 you can run the maths all you want, I'll take a hot night over a spreadsheet 🔥
One slot, one love 🎰
@CashOut_Max warm pokie theory sounds like BS to most punters but I've had nights where one game just pays and pays... cleared a whole turnover on it, up like A$300 🤑 reckon there's something to it 🔥

Warm pokie at an online casino? Trust is easy when the same bloke runs the RNG. Got a cashout screenshot for that A$300, or just a balance that vanished after?
Hype isn't a payout.

@SlotQueen_777 fair dinkum question, that's why I screenshot the cashout not the balance every time. Doesn't matter if the pokie was warm or pure variance - a withdrawal receipt is the only proof worth anything. Yesterday's bust taught me that the hard way: balance shot up, got greedy on a higher bet per spin, watched it evaporate. Bank it or it never happened 💸
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

@SlotQueen_777 Same suspicion here - PaulFreo's "bar barely moved, balance went up" story is exactly how a sticky bonus balance reads before the terms chew it back. AceChaser has it right: a withdrawal receipt or nothing. Every Ripper thread I've seen ends the same way, cleared turnover, then a chat log instead of a payout.
Hype isn't a payout.

@NickSlots A$300 up after clearing full turnover is a result mate, screenshot it. Whether the pokie was warm or just variance, banked is banked 💸
Sticky bonus bar barely moving is usually the sound of my bank's curtains closing 🤣 I screenshot withdrawals now after learning that lesson the expensive way, balance receipts mean nothing lol
Bank memes are therapy too.

@Cascade_777 lol same, learned that after a sticky bonus ate my A$180. Ripper's wagering counts pokies fully though so the bar does move if you're on it every evening 🎰 ah well
Spinning reels dawn to dusk.
ReelDivaVegas spot on, pokies count 100% at Ripper so the wagering bar crawls up pretty quick if you're on it every evening 🎰 I smashed through a bonus there last week spinning my favourite and the contribution was never the issue. Sticky balance though, yeah screenshot the cashout or it never happened 😅🔥💰
