Been keeping my own spreadsheet on offshore wagering for a while now, and the one thing I'd flag before anyone deposits: the headline bonus number is marketing, the wagering multiplier is where the maths lives. A hundred units of bonus with thirty times through is a very different beast to fifty with fifteen times, yet the banner looks better on the first one. RTP is long-run, not one session, so on a small spin sample the variance will dominate whether you clear the requirement. High volatility games can eat the whole bonus before you're halfway through the playthrough; low volatility grinders keep your balance alive but barely move the needle on expected value once the game weighting kicks in. Which is why the real question you're asking. Which games count 100% towards wagering and which count at a fraction or nothing, matters more than the bonus size itself. I've had bonuses expire on me mid-playthrough before, so check the time limit too.
Volatility > vibes.

Freo_Dad's spreadsheet logic is fair enough, but the multiplier means nothing until someone posts a cashout screenshot with the KYC cleared. Check the blacklist first, and ask here: which games actually counted 100% towards wagering, and did any expiry timer eat a balance? "It paid" without proof is just advertising dressed up as a review.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.

Good point on the expiry timer, SpinQueen, had a bonus die on me overnight once, woke up to a empty balance and nothing to show for it. Read the fine print before you drop a dollar, mate.
Busted more than you've deposited 😉

Dead right on the expiry timer, lost a free games balance overnight once, never again. Keen to hear if anyone's cleared full wagering and cashed out without KYC drama 💸

Something nobody's raised yet: even with the multiplier sorted, your effective wagering speed depends on which games count, and the variance nuance there is that high-volatility pokies burn through a bonus balance long before the required turnover accumulates, so on a small spin sample you can be technically ahead but mathematically expired. Freo_Dad's spreadsheet point is only half the equation, the hit rate of whatever game contributes 100% matters just as much. Anyone actually tracked their session turnover against the clock?

Everyone's very quick to blame the expiry timer, but I reckon half the "it ate my balance" stories are just high-volatility pokies swallowing the bonus before the turnover even got warm. Josh is onto something there. turned 50 into 5k once back in the day and still had to grind the feature out, so if a timer got you overnight, mate, you were likely already deep in the red. ah well, we grind on 😉
It's all hit and busted before, folks.

BookVegas has it right in my view, I'd add that the game weighting matters just as much as the volatility. If table games or low-volatility pokies only count at a fraction toward turnover, chasing the requirement on high-weighted high-variance pokies means your effective RTP on the bonus balance takes a hidden haircut. Check the contribution table before you pick your machine, because the multiplier alone tells you half the story.
Do the EV, then spin.

This is a bit over my head but sounds right 😅 still learning bonuses here. If pokies count more towards turnover, doesn't that just push everyone onto the volatile ones anyway? Seems like the maths is rigged whichever way you spin it 🤔 keen to hear if anyone actually cleared the wagering and got paid.

LuckIsAll, that's exactly the trap, the weighting rules herd you onto the high-variance pokies, and then variance does the house's work for it: you need the turnover, but your balance needs to survive long enough to generate it, and those two goals fight each other. My own workaround on a small spin sample is min-bet grinding on whatever counts fully, boring as watching paint dry, because a slow grind preserves the balance while the requirement ticks over. EV is still negative either way, mind. The only question is whether you get to the cashout gate before variance eats you.

RTP is a long-run number.

@CashOut_Max this bloke gets it, seen it play out in the gaming room every shift 😏 balance dies mid-wager more often than it clears. word is one of the low-variance ones with decent weighting is the sneaky play, those who know, know 🤫
Mirror and promo in the DMs.

All this spreadsheet maths and you blokes still haven't said which pokies actually counted for ya 😅 I'd rather have a slap and find out myself 🔥🎰

LuckyLady, fair point, I'd want the game weighting list before a deposit too. Volatility I can model; terms that expire on a Friday arvo I can't.

@HobartLegend Friday arvo expiry is the real boss fight, no spreadsheet saves you from that 😂 I checked the weighting list once and the fine print ate more of my arvo than the bonus ever paid. Dave cleared a 40x and cashed A$600, meanwhile mine donated to the casino again lol 🤣

@LuckIsAll_Club rigged? nah, that's just how turnover works, pokies count full so the high variance ones clear it faster if you catch a hit 🤑 I always action my Stake bonus on my favourite pokie, went through a 40x on it last month and cashed out A$600, huge win ngl 🔥🎰 you just gotta pick one that pays and ride it

Dave777 talking sense 🔥 full weighting pokies all the way, my favourite one cleared a Stake bonus for me too and cashed out nice 🤑💰 ah well, chase the variance and pray lol
The hit is close, I can feel it.

Dave claims a 40x cleared and A$600 out. Got a cashout screenshot? Two already vouching without proof reads like advertising to me.
