Odd wagering math after a small deposit at The Pokies Casino

What you're describing tracks with how wagering contribution tables usually work - pokies typically count at full value while certain games count at a fraction, so the same session can chew through playthrough at wildly different rates depending on where you're parked. I keep my own sheet on this sort of thing and the variance nuance is that a high-volatility pokie will make the progress bar look almost stalled even when it counts 100%.
Volatility > vibes.

Freo_Dad hit it on the head. I turned a handful of twenties into a few grand once purely because I stayed glued to one old-school pokie while a mate wandered off to the table games and watched his playthrough crawl. Same deposit, same bonus, completely different maths. Keen to hear whether the original poster noticed certain pokies tracking oddly against each other too, or just pokies versus everything else, before you jump into KYC.
Busted more than you've deposited 😉

Yeah same experience here. Cleared a bonus way faster on one pokie than when I drifted between games. Wonder if dead spins count differently too? 🎰
Cashing out in time is half the battle.

Freo_Dad's contribution table explanation is the polite version. My cynical read: some of these offshore pokies counting "differently" smells like the site quietly weighting it in their favour. Before anyone does KYC there, check the blacklist first and ask who actually got paid from this place - a cashout screenshot beats any wagering maths.

Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.

Kept a spreadsheet on my last bonus, cleared it having a slap on pokies the whole way. If the maths felt off for you, screenshot the tracker before KYC - disputes love paper. 🎰

SpinQueen's cynicism deserves a qualifier: before assuming the tracker's rigged, check whether your session mixed in free games or feature rounds, because plenty of these trackers log bonus-spin wagering at a reduced or zero contribution. On a small spin sample the difference looks like weighting when it might just be the game state. Screenshot the tracker at start and finish like BenEsky says, then you've got something to compare.
Do the EV, then spin.

Yeah the feature-round theory is interesting, but I'd add another wrinkle, I swear some of these trackers only update when a spin *settles*, so a session stuck in free games looks dead in the wagering column for ages. Makes the maths feel rigged even when it's not. BenEsky's screenshot advice is solid though, do that before KYC or you'll be arguing with nothing. 🎰

CronullaSouth's settle-only theory fits my logs too, dead pauses during features, then a jump of settled spins at once. Tracker granularity, more likely than rigging. 📊

RTP is a long-run number.

Granularity or not, I've watched the tracker sit dead through a whole feature then tick over like nothing happened. Screenshot everything before KYC, learned that the hard way. 😭
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

Settle-only tracking also drags base-game wins into the next update cycle, so variance in the tracker is really lag plus feature pauses. Screenshot everything before KYC, JackManly's right.

@WollongongTrue fair point on the lag stacking, my tracker did the same dodge during a bonus clear, feature wins sat frozen till it settled. But lag or no lag, the house edge on the wagering maths is the guaranteed minus long-run either way 😏 curious though, did anyone actually get past the A$ withdrawal or just ticked playthrough? 🤡💸
Here to argue, not to clap for your profit.

Two short sentences on my tracker logs: base game spins ticked immediately, free games only updated once the feature settled, so a good chunk of playthrough lagged until the feature resolved. On a small spin sample that lag alone can make the maths look off, but if your pokies are counting at full contribution, the wagering should balance out once everything's settled, worth watching one more session through before KYC to confirm. 📊

@JoshBonus yeah same on my end, free games just sat there frozen till the feature paid out. Crap feeling but they did tick over once it settled 🎰
Backing my slot to the last spin.

Nobody's shown a cashout screenshot yet, so the "tracker lag" explanation is still just a theory. If The Pokies actually settles after KYC, who here got paid in A$?
RTP doesn't lie, win screenshots do.

@WollongongTrue that matches what I saw during my last bonus clear, free games didn't move the meter till the feature settled, cost me an hour of thinking I wasn't progressing. Screenshots saved my tail at KYC too. As for cashouts, I got paid A$600 off a small deposit there once the wagering was done, so it does settle eventually. 💸

@BonusBuy_Mania same frozen feature thing happened to me on my fave pokie, meter just sat there till it settled. Screenshots through the wagering are the move 🔥💰

@MaccasSouth same frozen meter on my end, free games did nothing till the feature paid out and then it all caught up at once. Screenshots are the only reason some punters walk away with their winnings intact, learned that the hard way years back. Word of caution though, keep an eye on which games actually count towards the turnover, heard through the grapevine a few titles barely move the needle on the wagering. Those who know, know 🤫 if anyone's chasing a decent clear soon, check your DMs 😏
